What a strange cover!!!

Postby drakula63 » Thu Apr 27, 2017 10:51 pm

This appears to be an MFP release of what I tend to call the 'Ember' album. Never seen it before! What a strange cover! Words fail me, but it's almost worth it for this alone. Or maybe not!!!!

I've seen it before (though I don't have it).

The LP contents are just the same as on the LPs with the "Blue cover" and the "Bench" sleeve.

It might be from Germany. It's certainly pictured and listed in Otto Kasper's book.

To Chris (and others)

Please, please, make your pics smaller before uploading them. It only takes a little time to do and it avoids scroll bars. With an album cover, the overall 'look' is lost when having to scroll. Instead of 1,600px × 1,200px as in one of the examples, 400 pixels horizontal is you need.

Also, from the website's point of view, huge pictures gobble up bandwidth, which is a bit unfair.

Point taken.

However, in this case, if you hit the photo with your cursor the pic will open up and fill the screen with no need to use the scroll bars.

I wonder where I got 1980 from or it could be another typo in my database!

That would make it almost (bit not quite) contemporaneous with the British release.

Lol, this is the weirdest cover I've seen so far.

on the other hand besides this weird 'birds' cover version which I do have (found it in a charity shop a few years back) and the 'bench' cover and original 'blue with pink photos' UK MFP covers the album was also released, as Chris refers, on Ember Records with a great cover of a colour photo of the band with instruments looking like they are performing on a TV show circa 1966-67
