Hi all...
For anyone who might be interested I've been invited to appear on a radio programme. The station is local to me in the Sherborne/Yeovil area in the South West, but you can of course listen live through their website no matter where you are. I'll be interviewed at 6pm BST today (Monday 4th September) by Sandy Letham. We'll be stretching the limits of what is usually a jazz programme! He'll be playing other music, but will feature me frequently over the two-hour programme. I'll be playing a few pieces of music (including some Shads, of course!) and apparently we'll be chatting about my musical influences, my experiences and career so far (including playing onstage with past and present members of The Shadows) and my upcoming plans and projects. The link to listen live can be found at: http://www.abbey104.com.
I thought the radio show was an ideal opportunity to launch a Facebook page for my music, which was well overdue. Any Facebook users who'd like to keep up with me please 'like' the page. I'll be posting various things, likely including clips from my gigs (which I'm now regularly recording), maybe videos, featuring equipment and/or guitar playing, and perhaps some behind-the-scenes stuff as I prepare for big gigs, etc. The first material of any significance on the page will be the recording of the radio interview. Just search for 'Justin Daish Music' on Facebook, or try this link: http://www.facebook.com/JustinDaishMusic.
Forgive me for the flagrant self-promotion. It's about time I got back on the music wagon after being knocked off some time ago. I don't even have a decent working analogue echo anymore (please address all donations to the Justin Daish Benevolent Fund and tell the postman to follow the sounds of wailing and gnashing of teeth!).
Seriously, thanks for reading this far. I hope I haven't bored you. Take care...
J
