Thanks to Paul and June for organising a great day.
Not the best attended of meetings but the music was good, the atmosphere was with the emphasis on "lets have some Fun" and June's delicious cakeys are AWESOME !!
AND - I did something I havent done since 1974 - SING ! ! ! :o And nobody died!! The Ensemble LIVE performance of Hound Dog at the end of the day complete with Dan on Overdrive guitar, John doing a BB style drum solo in the middle section and Paul giving it Some on the vocals with me on Harmony (actually it was a Strat - guitarists joke  ) was huge Fun!!
See you October 30th. I checked with my Secretary when I got home and all prior engagments for that day are now cancelled and I'll be there - God and the M6 willing.
cheers

Thanks to Stratpicker, Six-channel, and Ian, for their comments about the meeting.
Junes "Cakeys" were delicious, not much in the way of leftovers for me to scoff!!
As for the atmosphere having the emphasis on "FUN", well, that's what I want it to be.
The whole idea of the club is for like minded people to meet together to make music; whatever their ability, and most importantly, to have some "FUN" doing so.
We may not be as well attended as some other clubs, but that means we get more chance to play!
The closing number, with half the attendees joining in, was great, and will become a regular finish to our meetings.
Ian's Strat, sorry HARMONY, certainly improved the number, I didn't know he could sing like that. He now has a job as vocalist, as well as guitarist. I'm told that Simon Cowell is chasing him to replace SuBo in a concert!!
Oh, well, October 30th will soon be with us, so I must get practising some new tunes to shred.
Hope to see lots of you then.
