East Yorkshire Gala Weekend.

I am pleased to announce that the 19th Annual Shadows Music Gala will be taking place over the weekend of 13/14th June at Scarborough Rugby Club, Silver Royd, 569 Scalby Road, Scarborough, YO13 0NL. Organised by the Shadows Guitar Club East Yorkshire the weekend promises lots of play time for all those that enjoy playing to backing tracks and with a 'live' band. We pride ourselves on the fact we can put together a backing band to cater for most of the Shadows tracks (I'm sure someone will prove us wrong!)
As well as lots of time for individuals to get up and play we also have five feature bands that will be entertaining you. These are
'LEGEND', 'SHADOWS MUSIC', 'DOWN SOUTH', 'THE FENTONE FOUR' AND 'THE IAN McCUTCHEON BAND' Ian's band will be playing both days and on Sunday will feature Terry Carter from 'Legend' on vocals.
As those who have attended past weekends know, the venue is a relatively new building and features free car parking for at least 300 cars, air conditioning (it gets warm up ere int north!) full catering and licenced bar all at very reasonable prices.
Start/finish times are
Saturday 13th June 11am to 17.30
Sunday 14th June 10-30am to 17-00 though will probably go on a bit longer as usually the audience won't let the bands come off
Cost of tickets are:
Two days £13-00, One day £7-00 which for this much entertainment represents tremendous value. If you need more information you can contact me on 01723 366811

Hi all,
Those who are coming to the gala please let me know if you are going out to the fish restaurant on the Saturday evening either before the gala or as soon as possible when you arrive on the Saturday so I can confirm numbers. Have booked the whole restaurant as usual but need to give an approx. number. I've said about 50 as that's about the number that go usually so should be fine. I know the regulars know where to go but if anyone needs help etc please let me know.
