Tony - its an Audio Technica AT4050/CM5

Dave - weird, I usually mike up around halfway between the mid point and the edge, with the mic against the grill and usually with a SM-57Beta. From a standing view over near my desk it "looks" as though its placed past halfway towards the edge of the speaker, it wasn't until I bent down to take the photo I realised it was closer to the centre than I would normally mic.

When I get the chance I may re-try with different mic placement as it could do with taming

Hi, out of interest, what is this new Vox claiming to be in relation to it's bigger brothers?

Hi,

It's nice to hear someone play something properly through the amp,
and that my mods have had the desired effect.

I've used an 8 0r 15ohm high wattage resistor for now as a load for the amp
when it's wanted to take a "line level" output from an amp fed through a suitable
attenuator circuit.
