Sad news. Though I'm not familiar with his later work, I was very influenced by his early playing with Johnny Kidd & The Pirates, and was fortunate to see them at Kingston c.1963.
A great guitarist. My condolences to his family and friends.

One of my favourite Paul McCartney albums, Run Devil Run, featured Mick as one of Paul's all-star backing band.

When I first started playing it was just me on electric guitar and a pal on drums. Having to cover both rhythm and lead, Mick's unique soloing style was a great inspiration to me.

Very sad news indeed, but what an inspiration with his music. Was fortunate to see Johnny Kid and the Pirates in the early 60s when I was an apprentice living in Bedford at the time. A tremendous legacy left behind that will be a lasting memory.
