Clapton doesn't do stage banter. In fact, he hardly acknowledges that the audience is there - except for a cursory 'THANKU' at the end of each song.
However - it is what it is - I have still greatly enjoyed going to see him.

Eric Clapton's not shied away from stage "banter" in the past, although it hasn't always worked out very well for him. I think he learnt to keep his opinions to himself and stick to what he does best.

The nearest Clapton ever gets to banter is the odd grin across to Andy Fairweather Lowe.

Didn't Abba sing Waterloo in English in 1974?

I recall a concert where Hank was wearing a sort of tight-fitting "leisure" suit made of a light blue brocade-type material.

Bruce made several remarks about it during the first half, adding later in the set: "I can't get over that suit", Hank".

Hank's speedy retort was "I bet you couldn't get into it!".

One of Jets numbers was his version of 'Theme from something really important' when he introduced it he
would say he was going to do a Duane Eddy number then he would add 'I don't know why' as the B*****d
never plays one of mine then he would say. He can't because there was to many notes in it for him

JimN: You're right. ABBA sang the winning song Waterloo in English.
