Hi everyone

I'm gradually getting to grips with the new site and, so far, it seems pretty user friendly - I even managed to upload my avatar without difficulty! So congratulations to all concerned.

Just one question. The thread postings on the "old" site (and others) were/are numbered so if you wanted to refer to a previous post on a long thread it was easy to do it by referring to the number of the post concerned. However, the postings on this site aren't numbered. Was this intentional or is it something that can be incorporated?

Cheers.

Good thought.

There's nothing in the software to do this and I found it useful on the old site. I shall have to write a mod to do it.

It's on my ever growing list of things to do.

Bob.

It's amazing,I can actually use the site,- it must be easy. Well done and thanks. One thing tho'- we seem to be getting overrun by meerkats !
Des.

Ps. How do you use the "smilies"?

Just click on the smilie you want to use when you want to use it :D

I think something paranormal has happened on this site because I also wrote and host a site for a meerkat research group (honest!)which lives next door to this one. I think some of the meerkats have gone foraging a little too far 8-)

Like all other 'repliers' I am most grateful for all that has been done for us so we can all keep in touch and find out what is going on in the world of the Shadows and guitar music that we try to play.

However, just a small point (and apologies if I just missed it) but is the 'view latest posts' facility still available? I found it most useful. In fact I used it almost to the exclusion of all other ways of accessing posts.

No. I'm not really bitching; just trying to constructive.

Cheers to all,
John Cooke
