Good summary. Looks like elevenis has been added to the end of 'xxv'

I wonder why the browser's search button didn't turn that up?

Perhaps if this sells as hoped or expected, we might get a 1970s album box set as well...?

I would have preferred something like a CD of studio outtakes as surely there's enough completed unreleased material in the vaults?
Or perhaps a CD of BBC radio recordings, this was mooted a few years ago but so far nothing has came of it.

I have stopped waiting for this release. It has been announced as early as the Spring of 1999. In 2010 and 2012 Rollercoaster Records have issued those superb releases on 10" LP and double CD, but that covers the period 1958 to the end of 1960. If a complete official anthology of The Shadows' recordings for BBC radio (recorded between 1959 and 1974) will ever appear, I will be delighted of course and be the first to buy it. ;)

Also, I doubt if a follow-up release to the 2013 6 CD box "The Early Years (Expanded Edition) – Their Complete Studio Recordings 1959-1966" will ever appear. At the end of my review of that 6 CD set, I have summed up in broad terms what could be issued on such a follow-up: http://www.malcolmcampbell.me.uk/Ivo_Ko ... panded.pdf

I have received my copy of "Boxing The Shadows 1980-1990" yesterday. A superbly presented package! Nice background information by Mike Read, with interesting quotations from Hank, Bruce, Brian, Alan Jones, Cliff Hall and Dick Plant. "Moonlight Shadows" finally contains the 7" version of "Dancing In The Dark". A nice little surprise too is that "'Live' At Abbey Road" includes all references to 'the free album' as per the original LP edition. These references were edited out on the first CD issue from May, 1989 and the 2 CD issue from July, 2001 "'Live' At Abbey Road/Live At The LIverpool Empire". Also, the announcements from Hank and Bruce are now added to the end of the previous tracks on the CD. The bonus track "Spot The Ball" on the "Life In The Jungle" CD, is actually a new alternative version. The track itself is identical to the original B-side, but it includes a few seconds of Alan checking his bass sound before recording a take.
