For those who are still tuned in to this most fascinating of topics, moving into 1987, 'Pulaski' entered the chart at no. 108

Should have charted higher, it's quite a good track. I think they performed it on TV at the time.

I know they did a few TV appearances but either the singles weren't available in large enough quantities or the promotion wasn't well done as you'd think they'd get into at least the top 75 with these singles.

The 80s/90s singles collection is a lovely album and a great introduction to their later work. Shame it's not on Apple Music as most of the Polydor stuff is missing except for Themes and Dreams and At Their Very Best.

Some of their 80's singles should have charted as a few were quite good. I don't think they were well promoted. Most of the albums did quite well though.

The Shadows released the following 17 singles (7” vinyl) on Polydor in the UK between 1980 and 1989 (the last one was reissued in 1990):
1. Equinoxe (Part V) / Fender Bender
2. Mozart Forte / Midnight Creepin'
3. The Third Man / The Fourth Man
4. Telstar / Summer Love '59
5. Imagine/Woman / Hats Off To Wally
6. Treat Me Nice / Spot The Ball
7. The Theme From 'Missing' / The Shady Lady
8. Diamonds / Elevenis
9. Going Home / Cat 'N' Mouse
10. On A Night Like This / Thing-Me-Jig
11. Moonlight Shadow / Johnny Staccato
12. Dancing In The Dark / Turning Point
13. The Themes From Eastenders & Howard's Way / No Dancing!
14. Pulaski / Change Of Address
15. The Theme From The Snowman (Walking In The Air) / Outdigo
16. Mountains Of The Moon / Stack-It
17. Shadowmix / Arty's Party

For those of you who are interested in collecting these on CD most conveniently, the following two CDs can help:

The 2001 CD “The Singles Collection” covers all 17 A-sides in their original single version, with these exceptions:
“Going Home” is presented in its shortened promo single version, not the full 'regular' single version.
“On A Night Like This” has an early fade-out, losing 1 minute and 16 seconds of music.
“Dancing In The Dark” is presented in a previously unreleased remix by Murray Munro.
“The Theme From The Snowman (Walking In The Air)” has a fade-out, instead of an arranged ending, losing 9 seconds of music.

The 1998 CD “Shadstrax” covers 15 of the 17 B-sides, omitting “Johnny Staccato” and “Arty's Party”.

Elevenis is the one track that seemed hard to get hold of. I only have it on a compilation cassette, not a CD.

You're right about that. "Elevenis" has (to my knowledge) been released on CD just four times:
- On the 1990 UK 3 CD box "A Special Collection", CD 3: "Dancing In The Dark".
- On the 1991 UK CD "Dancing In The Dark". (Same as above, but issued on its own).
- On the 1998 UK CD "Shadstrax".
- On the 2017 UK 11 CD box "Boxing The Shadows 1980-1990".

It’s on the Shadstrax CD - an excellent collection of their own work in the Polydor era. You’ll get it on eBay, I’m sure.
