They must have sold a massive amount of EP's between 1960-1965.

Hi, as I will be 40 in April next year I am quite a young Shadows fan and a casual one at that so I am not that familiar with the details of their discography and whether or not they released any singles in the 1990s. Music Week magazine had a subscription newsletter called Hit Music which from September 1992 to November 1994 published the 75-100 positions of the UK Singles Chart when Music Week itself only published the Top 75. From November 1994 to May 2001, Hit Music published the Top 200 positions of the UK Singles Chart when Music Week only published the Top 75 or Top 100.

Like I said I do not know if The Shadows had any singles out in this period (none according Wikipedia) but Hit Music also had extended album charts as well.

The Hit Music archive can be found here but some issues are missing: https://www.worldradiohistory.com/Hit-Music-UK.htm

Explanatory Wikipedia article here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hit_Music

Hi, there was one single release in September, 1990, a reissue of "Shadowmix"/"Arty's Party", which was first issued in December, 1989. After their concert in Southampton on December 1st, 1990, The Shadows stopped working together for almost 14 years. They didn't record any new singles after that though. However, Hank Marvin as a solo artist did release two further singles in October, 1992 ("We Are The Champions"/"Moontalk") and in October, 1993 ("Wonderful Land"/"Nivram").

Ah, Wonderful Land at number 97 on page four of the 30 October 1993 issue: https://www.worldradiohistory.com/UK/Hi ... -10-30.pdf

Already mentioned of course but at least there is an online verifiable source.

And finally, just for absolute trainspotting certainty - The September 1990 reissue of 'Shadowmix' issued to promote 'Reflection' went in at no. 159 and sold an extra 600 or so copies in 2 weeks on chart. I woud hazard a guess that this was remaindered stock of the 1989 release which was handily available rather than bother pressing a new single from the LP.

Which concludes this most edifying of topics until the BMRB charts surface :)
