Japanese single "The Wild Roses" first ever stereo single?

Postby iefje » Wed Jun 05, 2019 10:14 am

Yesterday I received the October 1967 Japanese single "The Wild Roses"/"Omoide No Nagisa (Beach Of Memories)", which I have won on eBay. The sleeve and vinyl conditions are quite good, considering the age of the record. As I expected, both tracks are in stereo mode on the single, which makes me wonder if this is the first stereo single ever released. Does anyone know? The very first UK stereo single is "Slaughter On Tenth Avenue"/"Midnight Cowboy" (Hank Marvin), from October 1969.
