Brian Bennett's "Clearing Skies" and "Jonty Jump"

Postby iefje » Wed Jun 26, 2019 10:14 am

During the last few weeks, I've been listening to Brian Bennett's solo catalogue, including all of his recordings for the KPM library music label. I was wondering about some sounds on the tracks "Clearing Skies" and "Jonty Jump". "Clearing Skies" starts with sounds imitating the clearing of skies. Does anyone know which instrument was used for this? On "Jonty Jump" the main melody is played on an electronic instrument, does anyone know which one?

I've seen a few things over the years which have associated Brian with the ARP brand of synthesiser (as opposed to, say, the Moog). If I was going to make a guess as to a model I'd go for the Odyssey or the 2600. I don't remember ever having seen a specific model referred to.
