Leave My Woman Alone

Postby Derek Mowbray » Tue Jul 09, 2019 7:30 pm

This is one Shadows track that eludes me,as far as i know it is on a Ra rites CD Everything of Value. I would like some information about such as recording date and where it was recorded and why it was not released ,this could be the last track I have not got from the EMI years on CD.

Sorry forgot to add:

It is possible that it was not released at the time over concerns that they would be seen to be aping the Merseybeat sound and doing nothing spectacular (even though they do).

Here it is...

...Sounds pretty good to me (but there is a bit of a Beatles thing going on. Still, a shame it wasn't let out to play earlier).

And then, of course, there's Cliff and Hank...

"Leave My Woman Alone" was indeed released as one of the B-sides of Cliff & Hank's "The Joy Of Living", but only features Cliff.
