My chronology may be way out, so I apologise in advance! I once heard the Shads do a vocal version of "Three Times a Lady" at Leicester. I've hunted for years but I suspect there isn't a recorded version even a bootleg. Does anybody here know about this song, rather than the tune!

Bruce also did some great vocals at the erstwhile Shadowmania.

Good luck with getting more Shads stuff on CD.

They did 'Three Times a Lady' as a vocal live in 1978. I've got a bootleg recording here. They also did it in '86 too...

Sounds like a great CD collection. I'll almost certainly be buying TWO sets!

Thank you to everyone who offered assistance.

I was glad to take up the offers of around a half-dozen and wish to acknowledge the painstaking - and nit-picking! - work that was done. I thought I knew a thing or two about the Shadows' recorded history (and I do!), but it's easy to overlook the odd track issued on a Cliff Richard LP or a pantomime / film "soundtrack".

Particular credit is due to Ivo Koers (lefje), who was able to point out that I had omitted several mono mix versions of tracks from the mid-sixties (1965-1966). The rest of us - including some well-known names - had missed those.

The listing now comprises:

(a) a stereo list of 127 tracks from January 1967 (where "The Early Years" leaves off) to October 1997 (when four hitherto unreleased instrumental tracks were issued on the CD "The Shadows At Abbey Road";

(b) a mono list of 20 tracks which spans January 1967 to December 1966 (within the period covered by "The Early Years"); these are tracks which have either never been issued in mono on CD or have had a release only on a now-deleted CD (usually outside the UK);

(c) a further mono list (17 tracks) covering the relatively short period from January 1967 to October 1968, which was the date the last mono single was released (in Germany).

That's a total of 164 tracks, to be spread over either five or six CDs - if the project goes ahead.
