Here is some youngsters keeping the music alive. Don’t think that’s Hank on lead!

The sound's rubbish but it's a treat to see that youngsters appreciate the music as much as we do.

Isn't Middle Wallop a brilliant name? I used to live in that part of the world and I know it well. It really is the middle one - between Over Wallop and Nether Wallop. Typical villages of Olde England.

Good on 'em ! They have put their own slant on it. At least they have taken the trouble to show they appreciate what the Shads did.

And what a great idea to use Apache's dad as a backdrop.
Loved the idea, good luck to the lads. Think Hank, Bruce and Brian
would appreciate the effort they've put into this production.

Don't agree at all! I think they've captured the idea well. The arrangement is their own, as is the choreography. Most important, they're having a laugh and that's what makes it work. Bravo!

You're right Ian, I fell into the usual trap of expecting everything to sound like the Shadows. I played Apache for years without any of the gear I'm using now - no EFTP or etap, no Vox amp, no vintage gear at all, and it always went down well.

We can get a bit narrowly focussed sometimes.

I've just noticed something I missed before, there's a Fender Mini Twin at the back. I can't tell who's using it, the cables are like spaghetti on the floor, but it's behind the bass player. It's obviouly miked up, but that's a bold move.

When he's talking to us at the beginning, you can hear that the hangar they're playing is in so echoey that to achieve any kind of sound at all is little short of a miracle.
