The 'Encore' Shows

Postby Fenderman » Wed Oct 09, 2019 8:12 pm

A quick question, i remember The Shads did 2 shows in Birmingham's NEC (i think?) in 2005 after the farewell tours.
Did they play any different tracks or was it just the same set list of the previous year? Were the shows filmed or recorded?

Yes, same show - though Warren was on keys for that tour, rather than Cliff Hall. I remember him playing bongos on Gonzales

I really enjoyed the Birmingham Encore Shows fantastic sound from the Pinnacle Speaker with the Matchless Amp Heads backstage very vintage authentic and Sharp sounding glad Hank got rid of the KCP Marvin amplifier far too mellow and hollow sounding to my ears The Shads are and always will be first class but Vox Fender and Matchless amplifiers gives that early 60s authentic sound as did the Pinnacle amplifier too
