Yes, it crossed my mind today. I even have all the birthdays of Shadows members I know of entered in my Outlook agenda. RIP John...

I remember in the late 90s, our local paper printed a birthday notice for him. "John Rostill, bass player from the Shadows, 56 today..." or whatever. I wrote and informed them that John had been dead since 1973 and they duly apologised and said it wouldn't happen again.
