RUN BILLY RUN - TV appearance!

Words fail me! Until a couple of minutes ago I had no idea that this even existed. A very good friend just emailed me and drew it to my attention!

Wow! (Only uploaded today).

Shame it fades out early. Or perhaps it isn't...

Ah yes... Let Me Be The 2, as Bruce calls it.

That Zie, zie, zie business... borrowed from The Tremeloes?

Gosh! What else can you say?

I've seen the 'reunion' with Cliff from Jim'll fix it when they sang RBR, but that one is such good quality. Any idea of the show it comes from?

I'd like to see the Jim'll Fix It appearance. I'm working on it... but my hopes are not high.

I'll assume that the one here must be from a European TV show, as I don't recognise the surroundings or the logo/design on the side of the studio cameras.

Clearly liberated from guitar playing duties, the lead singer is obviously having the time of his life! ;)

Great clip, I had never seen this one before! It also features Hank's heavily modified black Strat of course.

John Farrar's palm pedals can be seen clearly towards the end of the clip, produced by Bigsby in the 1970s, and still in production by all accounts. Not too sure they really caught on, though.

It seems that this was most likely from the Granada TV show 'Rock on with 45'. The possible dates given are 19th June 1975 and 13th July 1975. But since the 13th July was a Sunday, and no edition was shown on that day, this seems to be in error. Also seems unlikely to me that they would be promoting a single a whole month after it had been released... unless it was a last ditch effort to get it into the charts. I'd be interested to know if they did indeed appear twice on this show. As it is, since the second date is in error, I'd guess that they only appeared once.
