1963 to 1979 tour dates

Postby Thing-Me-Jig » Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:58 pm

Is there anywhere online where there is a list of tour dates for the group from 1963 to 1979, please? I'm trying to fill gaps in my lists but am failing. I've fortunately found lists on this site for 1962 and before and 1980 to 1990 which have helped plug some gaps. Any help would be much appreciated

I wish there was an official Shadows website where all these facts could live. Crucial for a proper Shads legacy.

There has been an official website for some time, around the time of the 2004/2005 tours, called "www.theshadowsofficial.com" I think it was, but it has been deactivated years ago.

It would appear this particular domain is up for sale... any takers at all? :)

The Shadows management are obviously not interested in running a site. It was worth their while in the run-up to the Final Tour, when it generated interest and revenue. That’s all well in the past.

I suggest this is the closest we’ll get to an official Shadows site. There’s certainly more on here than you’ll find anywhere else. If anyone has the information wanted, do please post it!

With all good wishes - Iain

Perhaps you can post your lists here and I am sure that there will be people who can help filling the gaps.

I will see what I have from the time I did my discography. I could scan anything appropriate and then let people add comments...

Well, well, they certainly worked very hard- they were virtually on the go all the time with no gaps between concerts and with two performances a night- no wonder it has worn a bit thin...
