I can only totally agree with the previous posting by Ludwig. It may be an age related thing, but for me anything "From Hank,Bruce,Brian and John" is my fantasy Shadows line up and I am not referring to the LP of the same name. I am just expressing an opinion.

... managed to pay the rent for the boys on quite a few classic LP's and hit singles over the years, not to mention backings for some of Cliff's top ten hits. Still, it is hard to convince some people that UK industry can produce products that are the equal to or better than the 'far superior' products made in USA.

IMHO a Burns Marvin can sound just as good playing Shads lead, even on numbers originally recorded on a Strat, as I think this clip by Barry Gibson demonstrates....

I DID say "just a bit of Fun".
I have had TWO Burnses - a Marquee with "real " Rezo's in it, and a decent Point trem, and also the Burns Virignian that I restroed from a garage wreck!. Bill - you might remember that?

How could I forget? AND I still have a copy that great rendition that you did of 'Follow the Sun' on the 'Virginian' somewhere, now there is a great example of a 'Burns Sound' if ever there was one! Still doesn't stop me engaging in some 'useless banter' on the subject though!
