Bruce Welch and Jet Harris on the same stage in 1998

Postby Twilight Ranger » Tue Dec 13, 2022 9:24 am

This video features Bruce Welch, Jet Harris and Brian Locking on stage in Oslo in 1998.

I especially liked Bruce's humour: "This guitar was in tune in 1958 and now it's out of tune." After some tuning: "It's near enough for Norway."
"I have travelled the world through my ability to play three chords." - Bruce Welch

I think the 'strap line' at the bottom is a bit of a joke as it's obvious that Bruce can play way more than three chords...

In 2005 Bruce and Jet played on-stage at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar with Colin Pryce -Jones on lead and john Tuck on drums. The occasion was the 'Benefit Concert For Wayne & jackie'
Wayne was the bass player for The Rapiers. He and his wife were killed in a motorbike accident.
Colin asked me to video the show but a full DVD of the concert was never issued. it sits on a hard drive in my studio.
Colin agreed that the bands that gave their services for nothing could have copies of their sets which is why DVDs of Bungleflint, John Leyton and 'Jet Black with Billy Egan and Rob Storm' can be found out there.
Here's a still from the Bruce/Jet set.

Was there a reason why the full DVD wasn't released?

If the video was released tomorrow I would buy a copy. It was a sad but amazing day of music.
