Here's Cavatina at the 4 minute mark. I'm not sure who the lead guitarist is, but he seems to have borrowed Hank's specs! And I bet the guy on the bass is experiencing a bit of deja vu...

Shades of the Light Programme's "Parade Of the Pops" - a lunchtime programme where a resident orchestra played cover versions of current hits and had two numbers from a guest star.
At least he uses a volume pedal on bits of it.

Not seen that before. Is it very wrong of me to admit I'm quite liking that song "Gina"

I listened with fascination at how strongly that arrangement depends on the bass line, and how the player had absolutely nailed it. Then I listened again and looked more carefully. Deja vu indeed.

Criminal waste of a nice guitar, having to play that boring load of old rubbish.

I think it's safe to say that this version of Cavatina was based on the Shadows version from the previous year. I bet Jonesy got a few comments from the rest of the guys in the band!
He was a regular in the Get It Together house band (the GIT band!) and I remember at the time recognising him. Kevin Peek was often sitting next to him. I wonder if they did a cover version of Toccata...?
