Off Topic: Cy Grant dies

Cy Grant - singer and former contributor of topical calypsos on BBC TV's "Tonight" with Cliff Michelmore - has died in London today aged 90. Another figure from my childhood gone. Sad news. RIP

I expect many of us here remember him. Those calypsos he used to make up on the spot were like a forerunner to rapping!
A nice guy and very talented.

He also provided the voice for Lt. Green in Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and appeared in several ITC adventure series of the time, including The Persuaders! with Roger Moore and Tony Curtis.

Another sad loss.
