Two more Shads interview clips

Postby Moderne » Thu Nov 09, 2023 9:33 am

I've just come across these two short interview clips on YouTube:

...Hank and Bruce in the run-up to Eurovision with Brian Matthew...

...and an interview with all four of them during their tour of Australia in 1967. Apart from the Live at Sankei Hall LP and a Cliff TV special don't think I'd ever heard John Rostill speaking before finding this! Some interesting opinions on current music!

Is that Bruce telling Hank off for 'butting in'? Quite an interesting insight into the group dynamic only a year or so before they split.

Interestingly, I stumbled upon the 1975 radio interview a couple of days ago. I hadn't heard it before. I have heard the Australian radio interview from 1967 before, but that was years ago.

It isn’t the Shadows and doesn’t merit a new thread, but I spotted Alan Jones on TOTP on BBC 4 last week playing bass with BA Robertson, so it’s on iplayer if anyone is interested in a tenuous way.
