Hi
Does anyone know where I can get a Shadows calendar? I have tried for ages without success
so this is my last chance before getting a custom-made one from the printers (Need some decent photos for this though)
Norman.

Our daughter did a personalised calendar for us last year using pictures that had been taken in previous months, so if you have collection of Shadows photos this could be a solution if there is none others available
Best Regards

Some years ago, I bought an unofficial 2009 Calendar by The Shadows, with pictures taken by John H. Humphrey in 2004/2005. I think I bought it on one of the fan meetings in Berkel-Enschot, although I can't remember from who.

The only Shadows calendars I have ever seen were the one from about 1981 (produced officially but as a poster) and the John Humprey one from about 15 years ago.
You might as well make your own.

I’m sure the only reason you can get Cliff Richard calendars is because he is still actively working and the calendar will be part of the marketing that goes with the business.
The Shadows are not. They last appeared and recorded for the Final Reunion with Cliff in 2009. That was 14 years ago now.

As most people say when I mention "The Shadows", they respond with "Who"?

Sadly, it doesn't take long for even the best in the business to soon fade from the public consciousness, particularly with the younger age groups, when they are no longer active. Perhaps, only a recording featured in a new TV advertisement could help to create some form of renewed interest!

Thanks everybody for your helpful posts. A happy Christmas to all of you.
Fingers crossed for a new (non-Gypsy jazz) instrumental CD from Hank in 2024.

That's already been done when Matteson's used Apache and Hank's likeness for an advert for some kind of snack. Didn't make any difference. I was hoping for a renewed interest in their music.
