Does sending personal messages still work?

I have a question about sending personal messages. Some weeks ago, I sent a personal message to a member here on the forum and have just done so again, but it looks like it doesn't work anymore, because the messages stay in the "Outbox" list and don't seem to go on to the "Sent messages" list anymore. Does anyone know?

At the moment I get mine OK

Sent and received OK.

It only goes from Outbox to Sent when the recipient opens the message and yes, it’s still working.

Thank you to Jim and Ulrich for the test messages, it does still work.

The personal messages will stay until we convert the site to read-only. Everything currently works as it did.

All private messages stay in the Outbox until the addressee opens them.
