This is slightly off thread but do any of the learned membership remember an instrumental from around 1960 by the name 'Sioux Serenade'.
Which group recorded it?

Hi Pedro,

"Sioux Serenade" was released by The Outlaws.

Best wishes,

Thanks Ulrich.

I wish I could get a copy as I haven't actually heard it for almost 50 years.

The tracks I would have liked to hear The Shadows version of are:

The Loner - Gary Moore
Heat Of The Moment - Asia
Why Worry - Dire Straits

"le temps de l'amour" by françoise hardy would have been a great instrumental...

Is that the same song that Bobby Rydell had a US and Australian hit with? ;)

I always thought that 'La Comparsa' was a Shadows number until I read somewhere that it was infact a Dutch tribute band who was responsible.
Any clues as to who they are as the Lead is a dead ringer for HBM.

I think you mean the version by De Maskers, who's lead guitarist is Jan de Hont. Nine years ago they performed at the 40th International Cliff Richard & The Shadows Fan Meeting in Tilburg, The Netherlands.
