Echo Units

Postby Jeff1 » Wed Feb 24, 2010 12:36 pm

Hi to all,
I’ve just joined the forum and have been trying to wade my through all the interesting stuff on here.
I am a very modest guitarist and play only for my own pleasure.
I love the Shadows music and try to learn as many of their tunes as possible.
I play a Mexican Strat through a Watkins Copycat Echo unit etc .
My problem is that i don’t know how to set the echoes for each of the shadows tunes. As the unit is not digital i have to rely on the knob controls to get the effect that I wish.
I have the opportunity to but a yamaha magicstomp and wondered if you could guide me as to the suitability of this unit and where i could have it set up for the Shadows echoes.

Thank you in advance for you time

regards

Jeff, the MagicStomp is very well spoken of, but you would need to programme it with Charlie Hall's EFTP (Echos From The Past). You can contact Charlie HERE

Cheers

It's a great unit and will take all the guess work out of Shads echoes... (I think the patches are £25...)
