South Yorkshire Meeting March 7th

Postby Paulps » Mon Mar 08, 2010 4:45 pm

I made the trip from Congleton to Doncaster yesterday, 2 hours driving, but was it worth it?
Yes
A great afternoon was had by all. It was very well attended, so much so that the next meeting will run until 5.30pm to fit in all the players.
Many thanks to the organisers (sorry I'm terrible at remembering names) for a wonderful time (even if I didn't win the raffle!)
Hope to be back again soon.

Hi Paul,
Yes..........good, wasn't it!
My first visit, too - although I'm only an hour away in Lincoln.
For me, an added bonus, too! - yet another Shadows Guitar Club in a genuine "old fashioned" Working Men's Club. "Our Kid" even tells me that he played the The Hyde Park WMC as a "pro" many years ago!
Sam Smith's Sovereign Bitter at only £1.64 a pint - and the chance to have a bash on the Drums - all for a £2 suscription - now, for me, that's a REAL bargain in ANY language!!
Pity I wont be able to get to the next couple of meetings - both on Bank Holiday Sundays when SWMBO drags me away to do other things - but June is "in the diary"!!
Regards
Paul
