HELP! Any drummers free tomorrow night? (Sat 27th)

Postby Simon Underwood » Fri Mar 26, 2010 8:27 pm

My (Shads tribute) band is doing a fundraising concert for our local theatre group tomorrow night in Peacehaven (just outside Brighton), and our drummer has hurt his back. He seems to think he'll be alright, bust the rest of us are panicking a bit.

I know it's a bit of a nerve, but is there anybody out there who could come along and be on standby? As it's a fundraiser, no wages, but we'll cover any expenses and feed and water you.

It's all Shads stuff, with a few Cliff numbers thrown in. We'd be extemely grateful if anyone could help.

I can be contacted on 07793 209439 (mobile)or 01273 585281 (home), but try the mobile first.

Thanks,

Simon

Thanks very much, Chris. As it turned out, Alex was able to do the gig, although he turned up hobbling with two walking sticks. He was an absolute trouper, and played probably the best he's ever played, and only missed two numbers in the second half, and a drummer friend of my daughter in law manfully stepped up to the plate to cover those two.

We had a brilliant night, and managed to raise about £1000 for Peacehaven Players.

Cheers,

Simon
