My Birthday Presents

Postby Risky » Sun Mar 28, 2010 9:59 am

Hi all

I'm hanging up a "Do Not Disturb Notice" today whilst I get on with my birthday presents:

Yamaha AE 500 (Yes, it is Ecca's old one http://shadowmusic.bdme.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2143)
Wrangler strap
Pick Pocket for the strap
Three Jim Dunlop picks (I don't need to hire any now from Alan Bakewell)
Hiscox Flight Case (They are made right here in the Chav Capital of Staffordshire - Cannock!)
Gemini III pedal
Backin' The Swing CD (Roger A's latest)

I do have some other presents from other members of the family, but I'll get round to them tomorrow.

Phil
(ex-guitar player) - now a ukulele and ukulele bass player!

Yes Phil Have a good one!

You realise that you now have to send Mr Bakewell a "Letter Of Intent To Cancel Pick Hire"
giving 1 month's notice and that you will have to pay a termination fee!

Happy Birthday Phil. Forget the month's notice. It's your birthday and I'm in a good mood call it 28 days. :D :D :D

Cheers, Alan.

Thanks everyone.

I've had a great time with my presents.

The Yamaha is sounding great now that the new strings have settled down. All it needs to do now is to play the right notes at the right time  . I'm working on that ;)

The Gemini is a surprise. Apart from having cloth ears, I am also an eternal skeptic and didn't expect too much from this unit. However I have to say that the difference in tone is great and even my cloth ears can tell that my sound is now much closer to the original. It was so good that I have started to play The Savage again. Shindig, Dance On, Kon Tiki and Wonderful Land all sounded much better. By the way my kit is a Jap Strat, Q2 and AC15.

Roger's CD is great. Having listened to all Roger's demos, I just had time to play the So Sad BT - this is an easy one for beginners to play. We have just cancelled our planned caravan outing this week, due to the weather forecast, so I'll definitely be having a go at the others.

Alan. I'll fill out a Plectrum Rental Termination Form at the next Hankies :o

Thanks for all your birthday wishes.
