Very interesting stuff.

I note that Singing the Blues reached #1 in Jersey! Now then, as Jersey is (I'm sure) part of the UK, can Cliff and the Shads legitimately claim to have had yet another UK #1...?

I hope so.

Thanks for that link Ulrich..

When you study the number of shows played, the numbers of tickets made available, and just consider the UK tour leg gross turnover, without even including turnover outside the UK, plus recordings, merchandise etc - you realise this is BIG BUSINESS.....no wonder they take so much trouble to put on a consistently good show, there is a LOT riding on the tours....this is SERIOUS stuff!

A very good write up about the tour with some fascinating info.

What a pity it was spoiled by the mention of ecca.

Come on guys, please take some things seriously.

If only they could have had the hit w/ Apache here in the USA rather than that Ingman guy.

Had they been popular here, they could have scored a cupla more miluns $.

I was intrigued to learn, by the by, that "Scotland's chart is made up of just the amount of physical copies sold." What an unsophisticated unreliable approach!!

I wonder how much the Shads get to keep and how many of the millions go to the CRO and to Outriders Managemant. Anybody know the answer?
