Unknown Make Echo

Postby Amanda » Sat Apr 24, 2010 8:01 pm

Hi all,

I've just posted some pictures of a tape echo unit I just bought
off Ebay on my Meazzi site, can you take a look and see if you
recognise it please?

Thank you!

Hi Amanda

Your suggestion on your site of 'European' (maybe Polish) sounds right - the inputs appear to be the dreaded DIN sockets and only a country in the 60s that was a long way from the musical mainstream would think about using those badly-designed, unreliable monstrosities!

Incidentally, the 'transistor' Meazzi that is shown on your site is, according to my Selmer catalogue of the time, a 'Meazzi Echomatic All Transistor Universal 330' . Similarly the one with the four built-in 20w power amps is called a ''Meazzi Factotum All Transistor Stereo 440'. The catalogue was 'Printed in England CRM/7/68' so presumably dates from July 1968.
