Hi
And here's me sitting night after night trying to learn to play it !!!!! 50 years later just doesn't seem possible, absolutly frightening.

Steve.

For me, I would suggest that "The Savage" , "FBI", "Man Of Mystery", "Wonderful Land" and possibly "The Boys" may have been strong enough to make the break.

As far as I know, they only did a 'live-in-the-studio' version for Radio Luxembourg's "Me And My Shadows" in 1960 and I think also BBC radio.

55 years ago today...

Another memorable recording session was exactly 22 years ago. Hank and Mark Knopfler recorded the tracks "Wonderful Land" (also featuring Jeff Lynne) and "Nivram". "Wonderful Land" and "Nivram" appeared on the 45 rpm single, CD single and cassette single "Wonderful Land". "Wonderful Land" also appeared on Hank's 6th solo album "Heartbeat".

The BBC radio session for Saturday Club was held at the old 201 Piccadilly Studio 1, 2nd August 1960, and first broadcast 4 days later.

That was 15 years ago almost, it was in October 2000.
I've put our gig on YT.
Moe is out of sight regretfully.....she was nice to chat with and a great fan.
Hope she read this and will give a sign of life....

Hello All

Happy Birthday 'Apache'. Was it ever released as a 78rpm in the U.K? I know that it was in South Africa but I am not sure about here. I am sure there is something about it in Malcolm's book but I was reading these posts and just wondered.

Cheers
