1. Jim Nugent, Alan Taylor, Dave Burke, Kyser Soze, Ray Liffen, Dick West...

2. Crimes against fashion, wilful disregard for current trends in music...

Early night tonight, Jim, as it's a long journey tomorrow!

I don't envie you at all. Beautiful weather, good music, good friends. Sounds dull.
Have a good time. Would have loved to be there, but I have to wait until September.

Well, that's it done and dusted for another year... but a super day of music. A special mention to our own Martin Page, as the Instro Mentals put together a cracking set of classic numbers *and* managed to keep their jackets on in the sweltering heat. Well done guys!

Thanks also to The Flames, Los Kiosk Bears, Sweden's Johnny Lundin Band and Legend whose Burns and Fender set brought the live music to a close.

I had a quick word with Olderek but apologies to anyone from SM whom I missed.

See you next year for Pipeline 20?

I was just around the corner from this event on Sunday and had considered calling in but the weather and consequent barbecue won - but had I known Derek was making the visit I would have made the effort. :)

Thanks George, we had a great day on Sunday - and full marks to all the organisers for putting on a wonderful day for instrumental fans.

Regards, Martin.

Hi George .......It was good to put a face to a name, it was easy for me to be spotted with my photo on every message here..............But it's strange when you have no idea what someone looks like and when you see them the picture in your mind goes out the window ..........The same as Tony Hoffman, I had never seen him before and once again the picture in my mind was wrong, while talking about Tony I must say what a fantastic performance he gave with Legend...........It would be great to see them at SM this year !! :D
Thanks to everyone who worked so hard putting on this Pipeline 2011..................

Hi Derek,

Many thanks for your kind words regarding Legend's set at Pipeline.
I finally got home to York just after 1am on Monday morning, very tired but very pleased with the set we did.
I have many, many friends at Pipeline and all gave us the support we needed to perform as we did.
For me, when the audience is as appreciative as it was, it doesn't get any better than that.

SM looks unlikely for us this year but perhaps one day it'll happen.
Legend have played SM 3 times but with the original line-up.

all the best

I was just drinking it, I would have made the effort though, had I known. :D
