From the sound of it, I think Bruce also used a tremolo effect on the tracks "Bermuda Triangle", "Creole Nights" and "The Theme From 'Missing'".

Hi Roger;)

For my part, I think this effect (which looks like a Tremolo modulation) comes (in fact) from the "reverb" added to the Hank's guitar by the studio (?) ...
That is to say a kind of "modulation" due to a succession of long (in time) multiple reflections in the reverberation room, or an artificial (spring) AKG reverb ?
The most incredible thing is to become aware of this state of affairs 55 years later!

Strange that I happened to look at this thread having just revisited 'A Place in the Sun' on my Burns Legend. Very heavy tremelo evident on the main melody ( but not on the middle eight) . No idea whether it was amp tremelo or an external effect, but I get pretty close with the trem on my AC 15.
