Thank you, Madrid

Postby George Geddes » Tue Nov 03, 2009 7:44 pm

A huge thank you to Eduardo and Elena Bartrina, Cristina de Andes, the guys in the band, Ricardo our driver and, last but not least Brian Locking for making the UK contingent feel very much part of the family at the final - superb - concert by the legendary Los Jets. We had a brilliant weekend and even a series of mishaps involving a missing suitcase (mine), a stolen wallet (Kevin's) and a lost room key (Jim's) could not take the shine off our few days in the Spanish sunshine. I know we are all looking forward to seeing the DVD.

Also great to meet Ake Hammarin and his wife, Jens Bohn and Pancho Diaz.

As a footnote, if you are in the Seville area a get the chance, go and see a Beatles tribute band called Los Escarabajos. They are very good indeed.

Hi George,

It was nice to meet you in Madrid with all the British Invasion. Why not in Seville the next time? Los Escarabajos is a very well known band here in my home town. They are very good in the Beatles stuff but this time they didn´t choose the song list well. In my opinion some songs were too common for the kind of audience in the venue many of whom were remarkable Spanish musicians. Anyway, I´ll let them know your comments.

Cheers,
Pancho
