Apache by Kfir Ochaion - Something Very Different

Postby scouserjoe2 » 17 Apr 2023, 10:47

Hi,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HDC7a9pXA4

I have been following this guitarist for a while - he's certainly very talented and his arrangements often remind me of our late colleague Eric Thacker who also often came up with something different and original.

His repertoire covers a variety of genres and his arrangements and styles are always interesting to listen to even if you do not like a particular track.

He posted this version of Apache a few days ago. It's a little different and may not appeal to some, but it's good to see that the early Shadows' favourites can still influence the modern guitarist.

Cheers,

Ian

An interesting version, not for the faint of heart.

I also liked Johnny B Goode.

Thanks for sharing.

Even though I'm a bit of a purist I really liked this version. Great player.

The section at 1m 30 didn't work for me though.....

but other than that , thumbs up!

Too many jarring sounds.
