Hi Bri
Now I understand why YOU can see it and I can't - the paler ones at the top of screen are YOUR files. Compare it to mine.
Spotify scoures your PC and puts any files you have at the top -

Hi ecca,
Here is a sample of the BT I processed & used. Any remains of Hank, I'm sure you will agree is not wholesome enough to intrude onto the main image for him to claim royalties?, A 'Shadow' of his former self perhaps?.
I hope it is to your satisfaction.

Hi Bri,
I am, nor ever have been a member of that web site, but from the look of the album & timing it does rather appear to be my track & rather unpopular as well to boot!.
Is this piracy?, no because who ever has put it there gave me the blame, whoops, sorry I mean credit for it at least.
Well Spotted Bri & thanks for letting me know, I appreciate it.
Further Bri, just had a quick look on Google & my track is on various sites all over the place.
Regards
John :D

Hi Keith,
Thanks for the kind words.

Hi yet again John, Thanks for posting your W/L backing. How on earth did you manage it?

Quite a number here have high end audio editors and removal of instruments etc have had limited success in the past--always a hint of the removed artifact etc. I'm in particular a member who does practically all my recording and production within the digital domain and in the past I've had to mask 'removed' stuff' with some other sound.

It would be very insteresting to hear how you've managed it John. Are you able to do a tutorial like You Tube have?

Regards

Brian

That is amazing!! Its the best "removal" I've ever heard. Will you tell us how you achieved it please? I'd love to work on a few tracks myself using that technique. :)

Hi Bri & Ian,
With respect, I don't believe a word of it, it's just not that good lad's.
If you want a master-class in BT's then there is only one man to ask & that is Spike (TVS).
Get him to explain how they did Atlantis because that is truly a work of art.
As for my BT, it received no prior treatment & just run through Wavepad audio editor's 'remove voice'.
Best Regards

You're right John, I've just stuck the original in Adobe Audition CS5.5 and removed the 'vocal' and it's one of those tracks that
works brilliantly.
Hank gone.

I wonder then if the original was recorded as a "backing" first and then added Hank's track later. A lot of Shads tracks have such a wide spread that if you try and de-Hank them, the reverb and echo "halo" remaining is all over the place, left and right. I think John was smart in recognising this track would de-hank well.
Excellent!

Hi Brian,
I am hoping to post before Christmas my rendition of 'Apache'. This will only happen if I am able to achieve an acceptable tonality/sound which so far has eluded me.
Thank you very much for the request.
Best Regards
