CHEROKEES remix with Brass & Horns

Postby blueshadows2008 » 10 Aug 2012, 15:53

Hi everyone. I cant believe I forgot to post my version of Dani's brilliant composition over here. I've since tweaked it, Cheers CC

Hi everyone, I've remixed Cherokees bringing up the rhythm and bass and have added brass and horns too! Hope it's OK

Nice one Charles, I've listened to all the sound files of this catchy tune and feel it needs a sort of Duane Eddy tone to give it some 'punch' in the chorus.

Thank you Keith. I think you may probably be right there. I was aiming more towards Geronimo with a Mustang beat. But I think that Ian would have gotten closest to that sound with his 'Tele' combination of pickups.
Having said that, out of all the different versions, I personally don't have a favourite or a non'contender. Everyone came to the table with a very different, interesting and!
acceptable gift. I lift my hat to you all and am proud to have been part of the Dani challenge

Hi Charles
Very much in keeping with the original Dani concept and VERY "Mustangy". Loved it.
This a true "Shadows- as they Might have recorded it" track - A Belter!
EVERY version of Dani's tune is as valid as any other. Its amazing how we all hear it differently
cheers
