Thanks Dave. I reckon this little machine can equal the Quadraverb for Shadows sounds. I bought this for £82.00 on ebay and the patches for £25.00 and they sound really good. Check out Zoom G3 with art d'echo patches on ebay. He has demo sound files that blew me away.

Quite fancy one of the Zoom G3's, how do the owners rate them now they have owned them for a while?

Hi Rob, I bought mine from ebay and am very satisfied with it. I bought the Shadows Patches to go with it and the sound from them is excellent. check out on youtube. I can also loop a drum patch and lay about 3 or 4 tracks over the top with the zoom g3.it also comes with Sequel Le 2 which is a steinberg recording program. If you buy a zoomg3 make sure you get the disc with it. You can also d/l program from zoom site called Edit and Share which is a free d/l which would allow you to add shadows Patches to the unit.
Send me your email address if you go ahead with the buy and I help you out if you get stuck. What am I saying? you will probably blow me away with technology.
Cheers
Derek

Anyone used the Korg AX10g, does it use the same sound processor section as the Korg Ampworks?

I have a Zoom G3X and a Line6 POD HD and they are both very good amp and effects simulators. I feel the POD HD has a better overall tone to my ears and more options such as mic simulation. The POD HD echos though do not work so well when set up to replicate Shadows echos because the delays are in series and cascade into each other and tend to give a little bit of a ringing tone. You can use the POD HD with your usual EFTP echo unit though or use the eTap VST plugin etc.

The Zoom G3X is better where the echos are concerned and it is of course the new EFTP tool with patches available for it via Charlie Halls site.
