Sleepwalk - homage to "ballerina from God"

Postby Bojan » 21 May 2015, 13:23

I recorded the sound file a few years ago using the eTap2 vst plugin . . . In the video I have tried to show that music is a universal language and that ballet can be performed to Shadows music . . .

Cheers,
Bojan

There's that sound again!
Congratulations Bojan, on a superb sound file.
A great performance and entirely appropriate images.
To say I'm just a little envious would be an understatement. :-)
Cheers,
JB

Beautifully performed, and you did well too Bojan :) :)

In all seriousness you have gained "the sound".
Thanks for sharing.

best regards

Thank you friends. It's nice to get such kind comments from such connoisseurs of Shadows music . . .

Allan, it's not just the eTap2 vst plugin, but also the wow and flutter plugin and a bit of plate reverb. I also used my Korg Ampworks
to emulate a Vox sound because I recorded directly into my PC without an amp. A great (Alan Brason) guitar with CS 54s and Gibson L5 strings (12) also helped me get a decent sound. But generally, I would agree that the eTap2 vst plugin was rather underappreciated, at least until the appearance of the eTap2hw, but I would say it is every bit as good for echoes as the hardware version!!

David, if you think that's slim, you should see me as the black swan !!

Cheers,
Bojan

Hello again Bojan,
You mentioned using Gibson L5 strings. I am using them because they were the closest
I could find to the Sonomatics which I used in the 'olden days'. I purchased several sets while
in the US on holiday, but unfortunately they are now no longer available from my supplier.
Are you still able to purchase them in Europe?
Patiently awaiting another of your top class sound files.
Cheers,
JB

John, unfortunately I just had a few sets that I'm using up now and then I'll have to switch to some other strings. Gibson still makes L5 strings, but only up to gauge 11, so that could be an option, but I am used to heavy strings and ideally I would use 13 . . . Perhaps D'Addario . . .

I am preparing a video for Wonderful Land and I plan to post it in a couple of days, but in the meantime, if you haven't seen it, I have recently posted a Kon Tiki video with Polynesian hula girls which you might enjoy. :D

Cheers,
Bojan
