SO SOFT YOUR GOODBYE

Postby Stratpicker » 25 Oct 2015, 12:59

A lovely tune by Randy Goodrum and played to perfection by Chet Atkins and Mark Knofler on their “Neck and Neck” CD.
Here is my version, based on this arrangement. Both guitars – Brason Strat – Kinman FVs.
BT created in Band In A Box.

I hope you enjoy it.

Brilliant, Ian.

Guitar's' tones excellent. Playing sublime.

I really enjoyed the track.

regards

Michael

Edit: I just listened to Chet and Mark's version, and I prefer your version. Too much orchestra in their version. And your version, being slower, has much more pathos.

Hi Michael - thank you for your kind words. My version is a little more "stripped down" than theirs (basically cos BIAB couldnt do all the band instruments to my satisfaction so left them out) and a tad slower, but I loved their counterpoint together and separately, which is why I tried it.
Hi Bri - good to hear from you. Hope all goes well with you. Thank you for being so kind and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Cheers
