Buddy Holly my first post

Postby gerdezwart » 23 Dec 2009, 13:10

Here my rendition of a beautiful Holly-song as my first post on this forum.
The BT is home-made, and I used a lot of compression on the lead, so you can really here the raindrops fall....
Hope you like it.
Gerry

Hi Gerry,

Not sure if I have some wrong settings but I can hardly hear the lead at all.

Cheers

Hi Gerry
Welcome!!
A very nice first sound file.
I can hear the Lead OK - maybe it would be nice a bit louder but if you did the Compression 'clicks' might be too obvious.
Its a clever idea to use the Compression to accentuate the Echo pattern - I must try it too some time.
Lovely backing track - was it made in Band IN A Box perhaps?
Good playing from you, competent and smooth.
I hope to hear more soon.
cheers

Check your pc, Barry, for I'm afraid there's someting wrong with your settings. I myself didn't noticed any problems.
Ian, the BT I played directly on my TYROS keyboard and recorded it straight into an 'old' digital Boss BR-8 recorder, on track 1-2(stereo). the lead guitar part on track 3. That's all. Thanks for listening and your comments.
