More guitar practice recording

Postby Rosemary » 14 Nov 2010, 10:17

Just to show I'm still plodding along and to look back on when I hopefully improve, I recorded a practice session this afternoon. I can't play anything all the way through perfectly yet so there will be mistakes for a long time unfortunately:)
Any tips would be very welcome especially the chords where I play single notes.

Very good Rosemary. You can come and play this at the Hankies meeting anytime.

Thanks Phil
I'd be there in a flash except we're in Brisbane, Australia. It always sounds like a lot of fun! :)

Hi Rosemary
been off Gallivanting in the caravan - in the rain!! :(
A nice soundfile, Rosemary - all the notes there and only the very minorist of misses etc.
All in all a good performance - certainly one to get you a "Malcolm!!" ovation at our Hankies. Er- you do like beermats thrown at you, don't you ? :wtf:
Is it me or is the fourth string slightly flat? I looked to see if you were 'leaning' on the trem but the posture etc looks OK.
Youre coming on a Treat, lady!
cheers

Thanks for having a listen, Ian :)
Hadn't seen you online for awhile so glad you're ok and had a nice holiday (even if it rained).
I'm still having a few tuning problems but think they're improving since the heavier strings. I think a lot is simply down to my technique and sometimes even when I'm tuning the guitar I notice my fingers are sort of bending the strings slightly.

What's a 'Malcolm' ovation? :)

Hi Rosemary, its a appreciative round of applause and sometimes accompanied with beermats and and shouts of 'Malcolm'. Keith (Hankies)

Thanks for the explanation Keith
Sounds like a lot of fun but who is 'Malcolm?' :)

What string gauge are you using?
