Thank you Ian and Brian, It is a great little tune, only two chords but quite effective. I'm really amazed at the amount of referance to Hawaiian music and Pedal steel. I never heard this when I recorded it, and it seems to crop up quite a bit, have to change my style!
No, I know there's quite a a bit of double tracking in the recording but all the harmonies were single tracked using double stops on mostly the 2nd and 4th strings and some on the 2nd and 5th. I must admit it takes a lot of time and practice but it's worth the effort in the end.
Brian, I don't know Wout but by the sound of his name the type of music would match as it is an Afrikaans tune, and he sounds 'Netherlands' maybe??

Hi Charles,

Yes I believe Wout was originaly from the Netherlands, but settled in England (Margate I think). Played lap steel and recorded his stuff in his own home studio. He was a regular on the old radio programme Easy Beat on Sunday mornings.( more moons ago than I care to think about )
