For once I'm not using VST. This is a short fade-out clip of 'Polly', an original. Used the outboard mixer and Boss GL-100 guitar driver which are for sale. Two lead tracks running for harmonising and with the acoustic mixed in there. Pulled the bit rate right down to 64 bps to fit.

Variaxe lead and Ovation bowl-back acoustic with the Line 6 DL4 echo.

Hey Bri !

I just don't get it.......

Apparantly the real thing isn't recognized anymore on these sites...what a shame...or does it have something to do with
the holidays? I dunno....

Such a wonderful tune and I think a shame it's a low bitrate.....just wonderfull....

Can't think of any negative critics whatsoever....Perfect in every way!

Respect !

Like to hear the whole tune in a higher rate 'though...

Cheers

Pete, the glory days of yor have gone and a re-birth of recyled recognised tracks have become the norm. It's a natural progression I suppose one which after a length of time even newer members will ask themselves that they've heard it all before and then diversify into other genres. Even Hank Marvin has 'dared' to leave the stage for acoustic Spanish music.

I do accept that this is primarily devoted to Shadows music however a guitar is a guitar and the amount of work put into 'Polly' was staggering. So thinks I, does anyone need to find out how it was recorded? That would be the first question I would post on this thread. The why's & the wherefores etc.

As for the full track Pete, I'll shove this and another one on Acid Planet which I'm loath to do really. The reason for this is really I'm into Chill & Ambient work and as I can't access my Detailed Infinity account on A/P for guitar work. I have to shove such tracks onto Detailed Infinity Rewound which is set up for Chill/Ambience.

Rob, although I do have a Strat, I find the Variaxe to be a more versatile instrument for differing genres all in one guitar.

Regards

Here you go. Full length at 320k. Complex double tracking on the lead gives good harmonising effect. All guitars tie in together. Get yer 'phones out.

Here you go with the underscore. No percusion or rhythm (bass guitar is my own stuff). You can hear how much is guitar work and how much is added

Percusion is from Mick Fleetwood Total Druming loop library. http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/mickfleetwood
