Hi All.
Possibly one of the best modern Shads' numbers ever ... at least, one of my favourites !
Pierre Teodori composed it ... Roger Paulsson made it possible with this wonderful BT ...
Naturally it's a tribute to The Shads' arrangement.

I've just re-recorded this number myself - one of my favourites also.

Well played and a very good sound - authentic tone on the end segment as well.

I have never heard the Shadows version, but I had the privilege of watching our friend, the composer Pierre Theodori play it live at Shadowmania Friday social 2006, and his performance mesmerized the audiance.
He would be very proud of your brilliant performance.

Hi Abel, After hearing Roger's BT I looked everywhere for a video of Pierre playing this, as IMHO there is no better place to start than with the composer's own vision ... however could not find anything, so used Roger and Hank's versions. Mine is probably a little closer to Hank's ... hang on ......sorry ... my wife says it's better than Hank's ... you can see why we've been married for almost 40 yrs.

both 'Farewell My Lovely' and 'A Heart Will Break Tonight' (also recorded by The Shads) can be found on Pierre's album 'Influences' along with many other superb numbers.

I had the pleasure of discussing these recordings with Pierre when we travelled to and from Gatwick when he came over for Shadowmania a few years ago.
