ROUND and ROUND a little bit different

Hi Shadow fans! This is my first post on this site this year.
I hope I don't ruffle any purist feathers with my jazzed up version of Round and Round! I thought I'd try it in the style of 'South of the Border'
I've tried to keep it very simple. Besides the drum track (groove agent) There's only bass (Fender P), rhythm which is palm muted picking as in SOTB on my 82 Strat and a main lead line with the odd harmonies and fills also on my 82 Strat!
All three Strat tracks were neck pickup, compressed with a little overdrive and delay.
I hope you enjoy my version of Round and Round, the only thing almost exactly the same is, it's also two minutes long!

Hi Charles, I love this rendition, it's what I call grown-up music. It's not as simple as you imply neither, there's some production gone into the piece--panned guitars etc. I do wish people would acknowledge how these tracks are put together 'cause this could have come out of a studio.

I have one ready myself but I'll leave it for the moment.

I like this a lot and may I say a refreshing change. The guitar sound is good and is reminiscent of early sixties Hank.

Brian: yes Three Ships is floating very well in the Perth waters thanks for the link!
Dave: I'm really pleased you like my guitar sound. I'm actually more into the old Shadow music, although I like everything Shadows. This year my old faithful Stratocaster is a pretty matured thirty years old and I'm really happy with it.
I have a VoxAC30CC2x ant the combination of the two live really does the trick!

Rocks along nicely and full of style and innovation. Although a Strat it sounded quite Burnsy to my ear, maybe just the way you were playing reminded me of that era.

Love the Tennessee Waltz opening! All we need is a way to close it then please let's do it live at Warwick one day!

Thanks a million Iain. I really enjoyed doing this and of course there are a couple of different ways of ending it. Playing together would really be great but getting over there again poses a huge problem for me, I haven't worked now in over three years due of course to this wonderful economy and banking system!
I'm afraid all I'll be playing is 'Time is Tight'
Anyway it's not up to us to decide the future, though there are some who claim to know everything!!
We'll see! But anyway thanks for the good words, much treasured!!
